Terms of Service
Agreement for local-processing utility usage
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using MakeWEBP.online, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately cease use of the tool. This utility is provided for individual and professional use subject to the conditions outlined below.
2. Description of Service
MakeWEBP.online provides a browser-based image conversion utility. The service operates exclusively "client-side," meaning the conversion logic runs in your own web browser. We do not provide cloud storage, image hosting, or permanent file management services.
3. Local Processing & Privacy
A core feature of this service is that your images are never uploaded to our servers. Processing occurs via the HTML5 Canvas API in your local memory. While this enhances your privacy, it also means that the quality and speed of conversion are dependent on your device's hardware and browser capabilities.
4. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content you choose to convert using this tool. You agree not to use the service for any illegal purposes or to process materials that violate intellectual property rights. Since processing is local, we have no visibility into or control over the files you choose to process.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind. MakeWEBP.online does not guarantee that the conversion results will meet specific professional requirements or that the output WebP files will be compatible with all legacy browsers.
6. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall MakeWEBP.online or its operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the converter, including but not limited to loss of data or image quality degradation.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of the page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
